The English Premier League 2007/2008 seasons finally ends. And it ends in a frantic pace. Manchester United is being crowned the Premier League Champion after a long, and hard season. Haha. Manchester United won Wigan at Wigan's homeground on the last game of the season to claim the Premier League for second succesive seasons with a 2-0 scoreline. The goals are scored by Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty and a Ryan Giggs goal. It was a day where Ryan Giggs equal Bobby Charlton's record for most appearance in Manchester United. So, what a day for Ryan Giggs to score the important goals and also lift the trophy for Manchester United as captain. On another milestone-making, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 41st goals in the season and 31st in the Premier League to win the golden boots.
In the another important match, Chelsea drew 1-1 with Bolton after knowing that Manchester United scored the second goal on the match. Another news that is bad for Chelsea is the injury sustained by John Terry after 14 minutes in the match. It could be a good news for Manchester United team. Haha.
On the other end of the table, Fulham survived relegation with 1-0 victory over rather-weakened Portsmouth team. So, the teams relegated were, Derby(the worst ever team in EPL with only recorded 11 points) , Birmingham (although won 4-1 in the last match) and Reading (who also won 4-0 against Derby in last match).
This season is really all about Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 31 goals in the Premier League and also 41 goals whole season. Although Ronaldo should be praised, the whole Man Utd teams also should have been praised as well, because of their team-work, confidence in each other, and also not arrogant or childish captain. However, Sir Alex Ferguson's old fox strategy should also be mentioned along with Carlos Queiroz. Thanks Manchester United, this season is truly remarkable, as we can still do the double if we win Chelsea in Moscow for the Champion League's Final. Good Luck and All the best!! Man Utd, best squad ever.
